Guan Velghe

Lawyer

Guan Velghe graduated from the University of Antwerp’s Faculty of Law in 2011, after which he further educated himself as a scientific researcher. First he worked as a scientific collaborator at the University of Antwerp on a short-term research project sponsored by the King Baudouin Foundation concerning “the possible estate-planning techniques aimed at the personal and patrimonial well-being of a socially fragile child”. Subsequently, Guan conducted academic research for two years at the KU Leuven (Center for Legal Methodology) focussing on the statutes of limitation for personal claims.

In September 2013, he was admitted to the Antwerp Bar, where he joined Verbist & Vanlerberghe Omega Law.

Guan’s expertise mainly lies in civil law in its broadest sense, in the context of which he already has several publications to his name. In addition to regular civil and commercial litigation, Guan also deals with cassation proceedings.
